Wedding Entertainment is a different breed altogether - make sure they know what they are doing.
  3. How would you describe your style as a DJ?
  4. Do you have a demo tape, CD or video? Can I visit a performance similar to mine?
  5. Do you use professional equipment? CD’s, tapes or MP3?
Many DJs are starting to use MP3, but CD's are still the norm.
  6. How will you be dressed?
Your DJ should be dressed appropriately for a wedding, not a rock concert.
  7. Do you provide continuous music?
  8. Are you licensed to play music and insured?
  9. What is your payment policy and cancellation policy?
Deposit amount? Due when? Balance due when? Forms of payment accepted?
  10. Will you provide a contract detailing our agreement?
Never, under any circumstances, should you fail to get a contract in writing.

Bonus Question: What can I do to make sure everything happens without a hitch?
